What Does Dental Assistant Work Include?

Dental assistants perform a variety of tasks as part of their job. They may take and develop X-rays, take mouth impressions for the purposes of fitting various dental items, help prepare patients for dental surgery, take and monitor vital signs, instruct patients on proper care of their teeth, performing office related duties, and much more. While the figure varies a great deal depending on different factors, the pay rate is approximately $15 per hour on average according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics. You can earn higher pay depending on your location, your qualifications and of course by pursuing continuing education in the field.
